Ok, looking to get my work more "out there" I decided to run a competiton on Facebook. I'm not very good at promotion but decided if I want to earn better money I should start getting better at promotion! Almost a year since I last posted anything in my journal! What have I been doing? Well I'm now a few months into my pet portrait diploma course. Started a new work today which will be handed in for assesment, I found the stock here and it's amazing. The exercise was to find an animal wearing an accessory or piece of clothing, and I managed to find the cutest kitty ever. I'll be doing it in pastels, hoping for a good result or else I will have to paint it some other way.

Another week passed and no new artworks done. I've decided to focus on some traditional portraits at the moment, mainly to hone my very rusty skills before moving onto digital. I can safely trust myself to do some fairly decent work with pencils etc, but I still need to train myself completely to anything digital. My little Wacom is feeling left out though :( So at the moment I have two pieces which I hope to have finished by next week before my parents visit.
